Earlier this month, we had an exciting new merger with one of Canada’s Black-Owned Cosmetics businesses Felicheeta Artistry and it has been a full month of building a community that inspires, and elevates our community through the power of make-up. First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to personally and publicly thank you Felicheeta Artistry for believing in us and our brand from the beginning. They saw our vision and set forth a plan to have our part of their store and community. Felicheeta Artistry exudes empowerment, intelligence and grace. Their beliefs in the power of togetherness and sharing resources will set people on a road for success. So, from our Rich Flower Lashes team, we are grateful for this opportunity!

The store launch event was an incredible experience and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to come celebrate with us. We are forever in debt to you all. We have so much in store for you all!

As you may know, Rich Flower Lashes was birth with the simple idea that choice matters. Going on to the topic of the day, this blog post is focused on the importance of mergers and how they can be a vessel for success to any business. Typically, mergers occur when two businesses join forces to create a unified company. A merger can ranger from a small business joining a large conglomerate or when two large businesses become one for financial gain in the market. Merging with another company can help you penetrate a new market, fulfil customer needs, capital on key personnel and boost your financial power. Each business would need to decide which merger will be beneficial for their business.

Penetrating a new market is one of the first steps to ensure that your businesses have the potential to succeed. Successful businesses have identified a need in a market and they need to fulfill that need. A similar business that wants to build its market share benefit in a merger. Penetrating a new market includes gaining a new geographical area or a specific niche in an industry. For example, a sandwich shop might merge with another sandwich shop in a neighbouring town to establish a chain and to build a larger brand. Our merger with Felicheeta Artistry Beauty is another example of us expanding our market presence and also providing the store with another brand to add to their arsenal. Being able to fulfill consumers’ needs is one of the foundations of a profitable business. HOW TO APPLY FALSE LASHES

It has been the first week of March and this year already feels long. I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe. This article is probably one of the most fundamental articles that I will write this year. Being a lash company, we want to inspire your looks and also educate you on important tips to take care of your lashes and your skin in general.

It is said the eye are the windows to the soul. No wonder eyes make one of the biggest impacts on your overall appearance. It is noteworthy that a lot of cosmetics industries have focussed a lot of their resources on research to lengthen, plump and volumize your lashes. One of the greatest inventions made was false lashes! False lashes give you the ability to switch up your lash styles, make your eyes bigger and command attention, depending on what look you want to achieve. Once you experience the vivid effects of that extra length volume and drama, Sis it will change your life!

I can rave on about the benefits of false lashes all day, especially mink lashes, but proper care and application of your false lashes are what this blog post is about. Here are the steps for proper lash application.

Open the lash box and carefully remove the first lash from the lash tray.

2. Hold the false lash against your natural lash line to measure the length of your eye.

3. Cut the lash strip to fit your lash line.

4. Apply your lash glue on the cotton band.

5. Wait 30 seconds until the glue appears tacky.

6. Use a tweezer, eye applicator or your hand to place the false lash close to your natural lash line as much as possible. You should start from the centre, then the inner and outer.

7. GO and look fabulous!

Can you believe that 2020 is almost over? Man, this year has been challenging to say the least. Who would have ever thought that we would be living a life with no Kobe, wearing masks, dealing with the many killing of unarmed black people, the BLM movements, and Covid-19? It has been a rough year for sure. On the flip side 2020 has taught us is that BLACK IS KING! Even in our darkest hour we always find ways to endure and succeed. There is something unique and powerful about us. We are multi-talented, multi-faceted, and just pure magic! One thing that 2020 gave us was the exposure and drive we need to support black own businesses. We can no longer wait for a seat at the table. We have to create our own. So, with that been said, we want to talk to ya’ll about our favorite black own brands right now.

The first is none other than Queen Riri her damn self. If you don’t know who this boss ass babe is…we can’t be friends. Just kidding…well kidda. I guess your girl just have to put you up on game, when it comes to her. Rihanna is far more than just a gifted singer baby girl can act, is a businesswoman, a philanthropist and just straight beautiful!! I would drop my mama to hang out with her. Well, maybe not my mom she old school and would beat my ass still ,even though I am a full GROWN ADULT. I would drop a cousin though from my daddy side that is twice removed.

Anyways let’s get to the deets. Even though we love all her products we want to talk to you guys about Fenty Cream Blush in the color ‘Summertime Wine’. When we say that it gave us LLIIIFFFEEEE!! That’s an understatement. first of all it is affordable only $26.00 (Canadian$) how could you go wrong with that? The cream blush is light -weight, non-greasy, easy to apply, and compliments all skin tones. Her cream blushes also come in 10 easy-to-use sheer shades. The ‘Summertime wine’ shade I find enhances our skin tone giving it dewy and flushed appearance. I swear she can do no wrong in my eyes. We use the cream blush daily. The compact is small and can fit in your back pocket for a quick rosey affect on your cheeks.

The Virgin Hair Fantasy Company

The second product that I am in love with right now is The Virgin Hair Fantasy Company Peruca Wavy 10. It is 2020 and if you haven’t converted to the wig life you are missing out. This boss babe behind this extraordinary brand is Jane Harris. She is extremely talented when it comes to wig making. Her personality and professionalism are by far traits I plan on mastering. She provides clients with top of the line authentic wigs and exceptional customer service. Besides being a successful black business owner she provides a service that cannot be matched. Her company plucks all the baby hair for you and even cuts the lace. All you have to do is put that bad boy on. Her wigs are called “Peruca”, which means wigs in Portuguese. Her wigs are 100% virgin unprocessed hair, they are long-lasting and versatile and they blend effortlessly with all hair textures. The one I purchased from them is Perucawavy 10. This wig is for people who want a realist hairline without all the fuss. The hair quality is on 10 ya’ll. Minimal shedding, the wavy texture is defined and you just feel like a bad bitch in it.

The third product we want to discuss is Pat McGrath mini lust gloss in ‘Sunset seduction’. The fact that you get 3 amazing shades for only $34 should be criminal. Queen McGrath has definitely earned her flowers. She has been named the most influential makeup artist in the world according to Vogue and other noteworthy commentators. Sis has worked with the likes of Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and many more. I couldn’t just go straight to the deets without gassing her up and to make sure ya’ll put some RESPECT in her name. Now, we can talk about the products. The mini’s that we just adore right now is the ‘Sunset seduction’. The names of the glosses in this collection are; love potion, sunset rose, and flesh6. We just love how smooth and soft they feel on my lips. The gloss gives you a gel- meets- balm vibe that your lips will love. We find all her products to be lightweight, non- greasy, and soft. The three lip gloss colors are great for all seasons and will have to looking scrumptious.

House of Tara

The fourth product that I love is House of Tara Flawless Matte TM 329. I must admit I am new to this brand but right away I knew I would like it. I got to thank my sister Rachel who introduced me to this foundation. This liquid foundation provides full coverage without excess weight. Their foundations come in a variety of different shades and they feel so smooth to the skin. We have only had for two months now and the best part is that you don’t need a lot to achieve the full coverage you desire.

Winnipeg is known for its harsh winters, but there is a distinct beauty that comes with fall and of course, fall makeup! The leaves changing color, the famous sweater weather, and dare I say cuffing season is now in full effect lol. All that sounds nice, but no one is talking about the most important drip of the season. That is wine-colored lips.

Fall Makeup Tips

Wine color lips can range from deep red to even purple. The best part of my favorite fall makeup is that it suits all skin tones. Before you go grab a merlot-inspired lip here are some tips to consider. Your girl is taking this opportunity to look out for you because no one deserves some side-eye when you think you look cute.

In this blog, I will discuss age-appropriate lip colors and colors that will be flattering to your specific skin tones.

When you are in your 20-30’s it seems that you can do no wrong when it comes to lips colors. At that age, you are experimenting, and let’s be honest with the help of YouTube we all can be professional MUA in our heads within 20 minutes. I just find that dewy skin makes wine lips look more dramatic but not overly intense. My suggestion would be to have your eye look more natural and let the lips shine.

In your 40 and plus let’s move away from the traditional stigma that states wine lips will age you. I bet a man came up with that with his hating ass. The best advice was given to me and I want to share with you’ll be, apply a moisturizing high pigment cream lipstick with a makeup brush and then put a dap of contrasting lip gloss in the center of your lips. This will make your lips appear more dimensional. For extra bonus points blotting saves lives. What I mean by that is when you blot your lips with a tissue it stops the lip color from bleeding into your fine expression lines around your mouth.

Now let’s talk about choosing the right wine lip for your complexion. Wine color lips come in a variety of richness, tones, and boldness. The trick is to make sure it suits your skin tone. For my fair skin sisters, it just seems that ya’ll can pull any shade of wine color lips. It all depends on how dramatic you want to go. My only advice is don’t get too caught up in that sauce now. Natural eye makeup and a wine lip is always your winning combo.

To my medium and olive skin tone sisters let me just say burgundy and maroon shades give you guys all kinds of life! Slightly jealous..but let’s move on. I just want you to be mindful that even though you may have some golden brown undertones, my girl you should definitely steer clear of brown-based lipsticks. It gives you’re a muddy appearance. I would suggest sticking to a more fruity dark shade.

Now to my SISTAS!! Dark skin always compliments wine color lips beautifully. The darker the berry ..you know the saying. I find that our skin tone makes the wine lip color less dramatic and less on a contrast. The best shades for us are deep reds, like the one your girl is wearing in this fall-inspired shoot. We can rock colors like blackberry to plum without needing a natural eye. The best advise would be the browner your skin, the better you look when you use lipstick or gloss with a brown undertone. My sister and I had a fun-filled day creating these looks for you guy. Fall always brings out the entrepreneurial in me and I wanted to show you guys that wine color lips are beautiful, bold, and sexy especially paired with our Rich Flower Lashes!
